Dark fantasy lives or dies on perspective. Get it right and you get a court where every conspirator feels like a real person with a pulse. Get it wrong and you get a mush where everyone sounds like the same narrator wearing different hats. Here is the structure I use to keep the voices apart.
Why multi-POV breaks in AI writing
When you ask for multiple POVs in a single line, the model has no reason to give each voice a separate identity. It optimizes for contains several viewpoints and fills them with the same default narrator voice. The result reads like a committee wrote it - because, functionally, one voice did, three times.
The one-adjective, one-stake rule
Before generating, assign each viewpoint exactly one adjective and one stake. Not a paragraph of backstory - a single word for voice, a single thing they want. The reluctant heir: bitter, afraid of the crown. The deserter: pragmatic, hunting his sister. Those two tags are enough to diverge the narration. Feed them as separate constraints and the voices stop blending.
A worked example
Here is a prompt that actually works: Dark fantasy, two POVs. POV A - the reluctant heir, bitter, afraid of the crown, writes in clipped sentences. POV B - the deserter, pragmatic, hunting his sister, writes in long weary ones. They meet at a burned border town; neither trusts the other. The clipped-versus-long instruction alone does half the work. The voices feel like people before anything happens.
Generate per viewpoint, or switch mid-chapter
Two ways to build it. Option one: generate each POV as its own short chapter, then stitch. Cleaner voices, more control. Option two: generate one chapter, then ask for the next scene from POV B eyes, same event. Faster, but watch for drift - if B starts sounding like A, re-state the adjective in the follow-up. Either way, name the voice before you generate. Anonymous multiplicity is where the collapse starts.

When a voice starts sliding, do not regenerate the whole thing - rewrite the offending paragraph in that character adjective and move on. The model is a fast first draft, not a finished author. Know which one you are asking for.
